Tips For Heartbreaks </3

I know being broken-hearted is not easy, but come on! It is not the end of the world! Break those habits wherein you make yourself overweight by eating sweets, locking yourself in your room all day and night, and perhaps even thinking about committing suicide. Instead of torturing yourself with songs of dejection, why not play Swift’s “We are Never Ever Getting Back Together”? There is no such thing as a perfect relationship: Heartbreak is pretty normal; it is part of being in love.

But to bear with it, I have some tips that would help heal your broken heart:


* Share Your Feelings

Trust me, having at least a friend to talk about how you are feeling helps. It lessens the gloominess inside of you. A listener is all you need. Release all your frustrations!

* Hug Someone

Hugs heal! Physical contact shows that, somehow, we are connected to somebody else. It makes us feel that we are not alone. According to studies, hugging someone provides us comfort and nourishment; it relieves stress even when it comes from a total stranger!

* Keep Yourself Busy

Keeping your mind focused on other things will help take your thoughts off the pain. Be busy with school works; go play in an arcade with your friends; or even engage yourself with community service. At least you’re helping yourself and others.

* Get Rid of “The Stuff”

Seeing things that remind you of that person will just revive your wound. Get rid of them. Don’t even think about putting them aside for future “reference”. You can just put them in a garbage bag and turn away.

* Forgive and Forget

There is a quote by Lewis Smedes: “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” The only person you are tormenting when you linger on how hurt you are, is yourself. Forgive that person, forgive the third party (if any), and especially forgive yourself. Then get your life over with.

* Meet New People

Thinking about your ex (or “ex”) will stress you out. Meeting new people, making new friends or even dating someone else will help ease the pain. Maybe your ex was just not the right person for you. Remember, there are lots of fish in the sea.

* Be Happy

Be happy because it’s over! Think of the benefits; no more fights, no more lies, no more drama. You are now worry-free about that person. You have more control of your time and feelings, not to mention money. You are free!

  1. I like the Taylor Swift song Idea. I sang Katy Perry often…What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, stand a little taller!!! So true…music goes in our soul. Be wary of what you listen to!!
